How to get the most out of it
Paste the whole paper, including your section headings on their own lines.
Headings are detected automatically, which lets the check report your introduction share,
conclusion length and section-by-section hedging.
If you have no headings yet, the language measures still work — the
structural ones will say so.
Tables, figures and reference lists are best left out: they distort
word counts and add no prose.
Privacy
This page loads a small file of word lists and corpus norms, then does all
the counting locally in JavaScript. Your text never leaves the machine you are sitting at.
You can disconnect from the network and it will still work.
